The Autumn Equinox, Set for Southern Skies

This 36-page workbook is made for Mabon at the March equinox in Australia and the southern hemisphere. Welsh lore from national library sources sits beside real harvest-home history and the equinox sky as it rises over Australia, with five flame-free rituals, two crafts, two recipes and two tarot spreads.

What's inside

  • Lore and season: Mabon son of Modron and the oldest animals, harvest home and the harvest festival, the equinox sky with times for every state, a southern autumn guide, correspondences, a lexicon of autumn fruit and figures of the season
  • Altar and ritual: altar planner and sketch page, plus five rituals: due east, the oldest animals, the last load, the harvest supper and the pomegranate seed
  • Craft and kitchen: a stitched harvest cloth, apple-print harvest cards, honey-baked quinces with bay and a roast pumpkin and sage soup
  • Reflection: a Lughnasadh check-in, the equal night and storehouse tarot spreads, intention planner, nature notes, journal, a bridge to Samhain and a working record

Why you'll love it

  • Bonus Witch's Extras booklet: a one-page cheat sheet, a diagram page, a brand-new spell, cut-out cards and a colouring page
  • Written for the Australian autumn, not a northern September
  • History clearly separated from modern practice
  • Continues straight on from the Lughnasadh Ritual Pack

Your download

  • One zip with eight PDFs: the workbook and its bonus Witch's Extras, each in A4 and US Letter, full colour and ink-saving greyscale
  • Tablet ready: write straight onto the pages in GoodNotes, Notability or any PDF app, with tap-to-jump contents
  • Instant download link emailed after purchase, nothing is posted
  • Print as often as you like for your own personal use

Questions

When is Mabon in Australia?

Mabon falls on the March equinox in the southern hemisphere. In 2027 the equinox arrives at 6:25 am AEST on Sunday 21 March, while daylight saving is still in force in the south-east, so add one hour there.

What are the colours and symbols of Mabon?

Mabon colours include russet, deep red, amber, plum, ochre and brown. Symbols include scales, the cornucopia, the last sheaf, an empty chair and a key, and its themes are balance, gratitude, completion and thanks to helpers.

What is inside the Mabon Ritual Pack?

Five rituals, two crafts, two recipes, two tarot spreads and a six-week bridge to Samhain, all turned for the southern Wheel and the first cool evenings of autumn. None of the practices needs a flame.

Digital product. For personal use only, not for resale or redistribution. Rituals are reflective and symbolic, offered as ritual guidance, not a guaranteed outcome.

Gather in what the year has given you, and give thanks at the level point of the year.
