When is Yule in Australia?

Yule falls at the June solstice in the southern hemisphere. In 2027 the solstice arrives at 12:11 am AEST on Tuesday 22 June, which in Western Australia is 10:11 pm on Monday 21 June.

What are the colours and plants of Yule?

Yule colours are red, green, white, sun yellow and deep blue. Evergreens include holly, ivy, bay, pine and mistletoe, with bay, rosemary and a pine cone as easy local swaps, and camellia and correa for flowers.

Can southern witches celebrate Yule in December?

Some southern witches keep Yule in June to match the solstice, and some also keep a quiet nod to the northern calendar in December. Both are sound choices, and the Yule Ritual Pack is written for the June solstice.
